Tropical rainforests - many species in a small area

The biodiversity in tropical rainforests is compared with that in the other regions of the Earth.

Scientists estimate that the number of species in tropical rainforests accounts for 50 to 90 percent of the total number of species on Earth. Two pie charts clearly show that this large number of species (in the chart, 90 percent was used) is found on only 7 percent of the Earth?s total land mass.
