Experimentation instructions for Experimento | 10+:
Detailed instructions and questions for students on conducting the experiment "pH value of beverages - How acidic is it in the stomach?".


For the experiment, the students are first provided with an overview of the materials to be used and safety information. This overview is followed by the detailed, step-by-step instructions for conducting the experiment. Afterwards, the students are asked to note their observations. Specific questions are used to guide the students as they analyze the results of the experiments. At the end, the students are asked probing questions related to the experiment (an answer sheet is available for teachers).

The experiment comprises three subexperiments:

B5 We build a thermal solar plant (teacher instructions)

Experimentation instructions for Experimento | 10+:
Background information on the content and practical information on conducting the experiment We build a thermal solar plant - With a magnifying glass and mirror. This experiment comprises two subexperiments.


The two subexperiments on concentrating sunlight with a lens and a mirror are particularly suitable in physics class for the students to become acquainted with some laws of ray optics and thermo-dynamics based on a highly topical subject or to verify material already learned. But the experiments can also be used for a project day on renewable energy or energy transition. The materials and apparatus supplied are sufficient to allow four groups of students to work simultaneously.

The experiment comprises two subexperiments:
· Setting fire to a strip of paper using a magnifying glass as a burning lens
· We heat water with the sun

Evidencia de aminoácidos y proteínas en el cuerpo humano (sin subtítulos)

Video (01:33 minutos, sin sonido):
El experimento muestra la manera de detectar la presencia de aminoácidos en el sudor humano con ayuda de una solución de ninhidrina.

Una alumna deja la huella de la palma de su mano sobre un papel de filtro. A continuación el profesor rocía el papel con una solución de ninhidrina. Al cabo de un tiempo y bajo la aportación de calor, la huella de la mano aparece en un color azul-violeta. El calor tiene por objeto acelerar el proceso de reacción. (El experimento únicamente funciona con una mano muy sudada.)

Indicaciones e ideas:
En el experimento "Evidencia de aminoácidos en el cuerpo humano? se trabaja con una solución de ninhidrina. No obstante, por razones de seguridad, algunos profesores prefieren no llevar a cabo experimentos con solución de ninhidrina en el aula de clase. El profesor puede proyectar en ese caso el video de manera alternativa.
